The Workshop's Strategic Intersections

This transformative workshop offers Global Mobility professionals practical strategies to elevate the strategic impact of GM within their organizations. Participants will explore how to clearly demonstrate the value of Global Mobility to stakeholders, ensuring their programs are seen as essential to organizational success. By mastering this skill, professionals can position GM as a proactive and indispensable business function.

The second part of the workshop focuses on developing Compelling Business Cases. Participants will learn to align GM initiatives with organizational objectives while addressing stakeholder priorities. This ensures Global Mobility is not just a logistical necessity but a driver of measurable value across all levels of the organization.

Finally, attendees will develop Actionable Communication Strategies to effectively convey the importance of their role and GM programs. Through this hands-on, interactive approach, participants will leave the workshop with concrete tools to build stakeholder buy-in and create long-term impact in the evolving GM landscape.

A few words from co-organizer Benjamin Bader

Making Mobility Matter

Global Mobility holds enormous potential to shape business success, but its strategic value is often underestimated or even overlooked. To change that perception, GM professionals need more than good intentions; they need a clear framework that connects everyday work to real business outcomes. That is exactly what the MasteringGM® WAVE framework Workforce, Adaptability, Value, and Engagement — was built to do.

At the heart of this workshop is the Value dimension of WAVE: the ability to show that Global Mobility delivers measurable results and supports wider organizational priorities. But value goes beyond cost savings or ROI. It includes how well mobility aligns with strategy, how it supports growth, and how effectively it operates to deliver those outcomes. When you can clearly express this value, you shift the narrative from cost center to critical enabler.

This workshop is your opportunity to apply WAVE in practice. With expert guidance, hands-on tools, and real-world case examples, you will learn how to uncover, shape, and communicate the business impact of your mobility work. Whether you are building your first business case or refining your strategic influence, you will walk away with the clarity and confidence to lead from a position of strength.

WAVE is more than a framework, WAVE is a mindset. One that empowers you to connect Global Mobility with what matters most. And this workshop is where you put it into action.

Models that Move: Making Sense of Mobility Strategies

One of the most valuable parts of this event is the opportunity to step back and take a hard, honest look at the different models companies use to move their people. Whether it is traditional long-term assignments, short-term or project-based moves, commuter arrangements, remote options, or something hybrid, each approach comes with its own trade-offs, risks, and strategic implications.

In one of our core sessions, we will explore these models in detail, comparing structures, costs, and outcomes. We will look at where things go right – and where they go wrong- through practical examples. It offers critical insight into how companies evaluate mobility models and what really drives their choices. It is an ideal chance to better understand the pressures your clients face and how your services can align more directly with their goals.

At its heart, Global Mobility is not one-size-fits-all. The more clearly we understand the models available and how to match them to business and talent needs, the more value we can deliver. This is the kind of thinking we aim to unlock together in New York.
