A few words from co-organizer Benjamin Bader

Turning GM into a Talent and Business Growth Engine

Global Mobility holds the potential to be a key driver of talent development, leadership pipelines, and business success. Yet, its strategic impact is often overlooked or underutilized. To move beyond operational execution and position GM as an indispensable function, it is essential to connect mobility initiatives to workforce planning, leadership development, and measurable business outcomes. This is where the MasteringGM®  WAVE framework — Workforce, Adaptability, Value, and Engagement — provides a critical foundation.

The Workforce and Engagement dimensions of WAVE directly align with the core focus of this workshop. Workforce ensures that Global Mobility is designed to support talent strategy, leadership succession, and workforce agility, while Engagement emphasizes the importance of securing leadership buy-in and positioning GM as a strategic force within the organization. This workshop builds on WAVE by equipping participants with the insights, tools, and frameworks to clearly demonstrate Global Mobility’s role in developing future leaders, strengthening talent pipelines, and driving measurable value for the business.

By leveraging the WAVE framework, you will leave this workshop with practical strategies to reshape the perception of Global Mobility, elevating it from an operational necessity to a strategic growth driver.

What Participants of Previous Workshops Say

The workshop “Charting the Future of Global Mobility” in January 2025 was truly a great event in an inspiring location with many fellow GM colleagues. Highly recommended!

The workshop in Herzogenaurach was a great experience! The atmosphere with Ben and Stefan leading the workshop was inspiring and collaborative, with a perfect balance of focus and creativity. I truly appreciated the interactive sessions, the academic input, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded Global Mobility professionals. The activities helped me think differently about myself as a GM professional and set clear, actionable goals to develop next stepstones of my career. It was time well spent, and I left feeling energized and equipped with new strategies to drive impact in the professional world. And most of all, it was great fun! Thank you to Mastering GM and People Mobility Alliance for this opportunity.
